Study Abroad advising sessions help the student in planning and managing their experience abroad. The focus of the advising session is future oriented where students are in the driver's seat. The advisor will ask questions to help the student develop a manageable action plan. To ease the feeling of being overwhelmed, the meetings will be about 20 minutes in length. A student is allowed to meet with an advisor multiple times as long as the student is meeting the action steps they set.
Check out our drop-in hours and information sessions on our calendar or contact us at email@example.com for an appointment.
Study abroad programs are all unique so the more you know about programs of interest, the better you can plan. Begin with an understanding of the different types of programs and by asking yourself some important questions: What is most important to you – Location? Cost? Available courses? What do you want from the experience? Are you a veteran traveler, or more likely to want the security of extra assistance from program administrators? Do you meet the requirements?
