Transferring from Another College at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
If you’re already a student at Illinois, you may want to consider transferring into one of the majors offered by the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences. Or, perhaps you are currently enrolled in the College of ACES and wish to change your major or your concentration within your major. The guidelines below outline the process for both inter and intra-collegiate transfers (ICTs).
In the College of ACES, ICT applicants work directly with the departments. Requirements, procedural information, and contacts can be found on the Changing My Major page.
The following majors have unique and specific application deadlines each semester
The following majors* accept applications during ICT periods at the beginning of each semester and prior to the early registration period each semester
ACES ICT Informational Meetings:
The College of ACES will host ICT informational meetings for current Illinois undergraduates who will like more information on the college and our various majors and concentrations. Please view the ICT Informational Flyer for upcoming dates and to RSVP.
ACES ICT Processing Dates:
Inter-/Intra- Collegiate Transfer or ICT Form (Note: this form should be completed with the advisor for the intended ACES major after you are approved to ICT)
The ACES Office of Academic Programs will only accept and process completed ICT forms during the following processing periods:
Effective Fall 2018: Monday, March 12, 2018—Friday, March 30, 2018
Effective Fall 2018: Monday, August 20, 2018—Friday, September 7, 2018
Effective Spring 2019: Monday, October 15, 2018 — Friday, October 26, 2018
Effective Spring 2019: Monday, January 7, 2019 — Friday, January 25, 2019
Note the time frames listed above are the designated times during which curricular changes can and will be processed by the College of ACES. It is important to check with the department of interest as early as possible to ensure all departmental and College deadlines and requirements are met.
* Applicants interested in transferring into the major in Agricultural and Biological Engineering work with the College of Engineering.
