The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences offers curricula in the areas of natural resources, soil science, and forestry. Advisors are assigned to match the student's specific academic interests.  The advsor works closely with the individual student to plan a course of study, select classes, monitor academic progress, provide career guidance, and identify scholarship opportunities. 

Students interested in the Natural Resource and Environmental Sciences major have four concentrations available for study:

• Fish and Wildlife Conservation
• Human Dimensions of the Environment
• Resource Conservation and Restoration Ecology
• Global Change and Landscape Dynamics
