Horticulture

The Horticulture major is offered by the Department of Crop Sciences.  Students majoring in Horticulture may choose one of two concentrations to meet their educational needs/interests:

  • Horticultural Science  (Admission suspended as of Fall, 2011)
  • Production and Management (Admission suspended as of Fall, 2011)
  • Urban Forestry (Admission suspended as of Fall, 2011)
  • Specialty Crops
    The study of horticulture with a strong emphasis on the physical and biological sciences.
  • Sustainable Landscapes
    This concentration prepares students for careers in horticultural production, marketing, management, and use of horticultural crops, including flowers, food crops, ornamental and turfgrass; for careers in teaching and/or research in horticulture; or for careers in businesses providing services related to horticultural industries.
