In our increasingly interconnected world and global economy, studying abroad adds a critical dimension to student life. Animal sciences students take advantage of study abroad programs to expand horizons and gain enriching cross-cultural experiences. These include hands-on experience with Costa Rican veterinarians and discovering wildlife systems in South Africa.
The animal science curriculum is designed to allow students the opportunity to spend a semester or academic year abroad. Students can even test out an academic year of veterinary medicine at the University of Glasgow. The College of ACES and the University of Illinois offers extensive logistical and financial support to make these experiences affordable and help students plan their coursework to graduate on time.
