Leadership Development

Through the ILLINOIS LEADERSHIP initiative, all students on the Illinois campus are encouraged to include some aspect of leadership development in their undergraduate experience.

The Campus Leadership Center offers workshops and programming throughout the year to help students with their leadership journeys. INSIGHT and INTERSECT are two programs especially relevant to freshmen and sophomores; IGNITE and IMPRINT are ideally suited to juniors and seniors. INTEGRITY, Leadership’s newest program, is well suited for all academic levels, including graduate students.  The student organizations in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences offer many opportunities for students to utilize leadership skills. A Leadership Certificate of Completion is administered by the Leadership Center for students packaging a variety of leadership experiences into the requirements for the program.

Several College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences students participate in off-campus leadership programs sponsored by other organizations each year as well. Financial support from College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences donors is potentially available for participation in such programs. Information is available from the Student Development and Career Services office.
